THE boring Volvo Estate has a racy new image after being voted best motor - to have SEX in.
Randy road users said the dull Swedish model was perfect for passion because of its roomy interior.
The Volvo Estate has seen more steamy action than any other vehicle, according to a survey of 4,000 people.
Of course it comes from the same country as ex-England soccer boss Sven Goran Eriksson, whose tangled love life has often been in a right estate.
Just behind it is the Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van - proving that White Van Man DOES have great pulling power.
In third place is the surfers' favourite, the VW Camper Van, with the BMW 3 Series Saloon and the good old Ford Escort completing the top five.
*The poll revealed 68 per cent of people have had nookie in a car.And one in ten say they have actually engaged in sex WHILST DRIVING.
Fifty-one per cent have kissed, hugged or tried to seduce their partners while they were at the wheel.
An athletic six per cent admit to damaging their motors as they romp
- but only one in 100 claim on their insurance, possibly due to the embarrassment factor.
Favourite places for car nookie are country lanes or lay-bys. But some say they like doing it in multi-storey and supermarket car parks.
Research showed that around one in eight people had been caught in the act.
Paul Purdy of pollsters yesinsurance.co.uk said: "We find it astonishing that, despite being renowned for being a box on wheels, the Volvo Estate tops the poll.
"It would seem that space is the most important issue for couples who want to enjoy themselves.
"Rear-view mirrors are the most easily damaged objects, followed by ripped fabric seating."

Roomy vehicles took the top places in the poll. The Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van was runner-up. And surfers' favourite, the VW Camper Van, was in third place.
In the survey of 4000 people, 81 per cent said they had got frisky in the car, but restrained themselves before going the whole distance.
One in 10 motorists claimed they had had sex while driving.
Just over half said they had kissed, hugged or touched their partners enticingly while they were behind the wheel.

The poll showed lay-bys were the most popular spot for car sex. Quiet car parks and country lanes were also popular among the people surveyed.
Around one in eight of those questioned had been caught having sex in their vehicle.
