Are the bands replaceable without removing tranny/doing an overhaul? Is this something that a Sunday mechanic could handle or only for a pro? Also, I was told that this tranny cannot be power-flushed. Why not? Seems like any conventional tranny could be.
It can be powerflushed.. but no need... just drain and fill 3 times... and drive a bit in between.
Band is not replaceble without tearing into the tranny. Bands however very rarely break... it is a super strong sucker. Piston can go bad... most likely scenario.
