New Eclipse Owner, 99

Hey there,

I bought my mom's 99 Eclipse from her, after she bought a new car.

Its a red 2d coupe, automatic, 4 cyl, 2.0 Liter.

She *threw away* the owner's manual (sheesh). Car has 68 thousand miles on it.

Basically what I just want to know is general tips for ownership of this car (what kind of oil, gas, etc.).

Current problems: 2 oil leaks as she says, and a slightly rough idle.

The oil leaks I can't really say anything about yet, but basically the car idles around 750, and occasionally every 5 - 7 seconds, it drops down to about 450 - 500 for a quick second, able to be felt in the car. Not quite low enough to make it stall, and I don't think it ever has, but obviously a problem. Any ideas / experience with something like that?

Thanks a lot for reading.

IS YOUR TRANSMISSIOM LEAKING ,WHEN YOU TURN OFF YOUR CAR DOES IT SHAKE A LITTLE (MINE DOES BOTH OF THESE THING (97 ECLIPSE 111000MILES 2.0 NON TURBO))

Most often it's either plugs/wires in need of a change (they usually last around 60k miles) and a good throttlebody cleaning. If it has

66k miles on it you may need to just ante up the 60k service if she didn't already do it.
