That's why I like pulsejets -- the engine I've just finished testing produces 200lbs of thrust and cost about 100 quid to build.

Sorry to revive this thread, but Went to SantaPod last night for the Thunder and fireworks ... Brilliant time. Never imagined rocket cars of bikes like the ones there ...

Dont get me wrong, it can be a bit boring when Veedub after veedub goes down, all sounding like angry wasps in bean tins, but the Jet Cars and the Dragsters were awsome... The funy thing is they had some normalish cars, gave them a 6 second head start, and still beat them by 2 - 3 seconds .. to quantify the acceleration is very difficult. Some of the GSXR1300's were running Nitrous. Ill be going to at liest one drag session next year when the top fuel cars are running ....
