I think Lidl were Silvercrest and Aldi a version for the VR3 ebay ones that look a little like a Pioneer. I guess they all get made in one or two chinese factories by respectfully beaten 3 year olds now anyway. Just like the big brands.
If I could just find something like this for about £3-4k...

My stuff tends to be, "Carl I need you to go to ***** shop and collect YYYYY". Fact is, I don't know manchester that well, so it is a godsend. And I did used to use the TomTom traffic service on my old phone a lot.
They're probably made by Medion. Most electricals sold by German pikeymarkets are.
Where do you think Medion get them made. And if Medion made the last of Aldi ones, they ripped off the design of the VR3 ones which ripped off the design of the Pioneers.
