Yeh, and like grandad's hammer they've only had three heads and four handles over that time. I loved my SIII Land Rover deeply, but I had no illusions about it and I got tired of bolting things back on as they fell off. The Rangie I had was OK, but was as badly screwed together as anything I've ever known. When I sold it I gave the new owner three archive boxes full of bits that had fallen off.

They're still goin' though :-)

i love rangies and a V8 one would be cool! (i also like the rangerover sport, big wheels supercharged V8! whats not to like) every rangie i've seen though always has something that doesn't work, be it a light that never goes out on the dash, or window switches. sun roof switches, air con not blowing cold or just not blowing. suspension not going up and down like it should ect ect. i just couldn't cope with them day to day but i do love the V8 burble!

I guess you could always buy a land cruiser v8 then. Same V8 as the Lexus, and things still work. Not the same as a Rangie though.

Indeed not, everything works and it even pressurises the diffs to prevent water entering when wading. If you pressurised the diff on a Rangie the oil would come out even faster than it normally does.

Rangie ones tend to self pressurise anyway, unless you service 'em properly.

I don't mind the Land Cruiser V8 though, which is saying something as the only 4x4s I normally like are Land / Range Rovers and some of the stupidly big Yank jobs. I imagine a Ford F250 V10 4x4 would be enjoyable..

The Amazon diseasel is also worth consideration. Rough, agricultural, but someone filled it up with lots of torques.

The only negative I have with the F250 is the cab, far too small. The load bed is less useful than it seems at first glance, but still sizeable. I think I'd have the excursion, just to f*ck off the environmentalists.

Yes but you have more room for the second and third row seats. The F250 in King Cab form has the back seats pressed up against the front ones.

F350 Super Duty would be just about ace for nipping out for a loaf.
