Car stumbling

98 Mustang GT. A lot of people here already know about it... my problem that is. Low RPM / high gear + full throttle = stumble. I screwed around with the spark plugs today.. gapped them all at 0.055 inches & the car ran a lot smoother. And it didn't go away after a few minutes of driving either like before.. it stayed smoother. So... I bit the bullet & got NGK Iridium IX spark plugs... 8 of 'em.. @ 6.99/plug. I'm about to suck down some alcohol & get to replacing these bastards. I'll let everybody know how it goes afterwards. I formatted & lost my signature.. I'll copy it from another post of mine later.

NGK plugs kick some major butt. I took it for a long test drive... a/b 1/2 a tank.. wasn't keeping track of miles.. a/b to fill up again anyway. Anyhoo... absolutely 0 stumble. I can feel a couple restored ponies.. it's great when Elizabeth (my car's name) runs right!

Hopefully you let the alcohol wear off before that test drive kid!

Is she still doing better this day? Kate

Perhaps you had an internally broken plug. I've encountered this with splitfire junk.
