CFrog diagnosis, please...

Wish I did, Mike. Just never got around to getting one. One of these days I'm going to get a bucket-T soft top with a blown 350 or something, and 30" wide rears with bicycle tires up front. Think that'll qualify as a "'vert"? ;)

duh-wight, you might consider bathing. It's a good thing.

Soon it'll be time to wear a hat, too. Don't worry, you get used to it pretty quick.

Seriously, why not go to a Ford dealer if you can't find an independent?

Because all Washington state cars come equipped with umbrellas. Patrick '93 Cobra '83 LTD

Before you drop your car's top, do you have to make sure it's wearing a bra first? I always wondered...

Why do you think I like my cars to be "boats!?" :)

Hehe. It'll be nice cruising up A1A in something like that. Although I will have to wear a hat...

No, thanks. But I shower at least once a day. Okay, maybe I skip a weekend day once in a while, but that's it.

I hope I can see when I'm driving.

Nice.

You should superimpose that thing on your head on the frog web site. Bet your hit count would go way up.

That presumes that all cars are female. Some that I've owned have made me question this.

Dealerships scare me. But I'm running out of options. Even the local "transmission shop" specialist, who drives a Fox Mustang, didn't seem to get it quite right.

The local Mustang club holds its show Memorial Day weekend. I'll be asking around to see if they know anyone who works well with these cars.

So, you have owned a car that never complained and did not have a tantrum for one week every month?

You have just as good a chance of getting ripped off at an independant. The thing with the dealer is that you can threaten to bitch to Ford if they do you wrong.

Warranty, man! A few years ago I had the AOD done on the LX at the Ford dealer because the rebuild that the independant did (with the shift kit) only lasted about 6 months. So I took it to the dealer and got a super rebuild with a 12-month warranty. Had a slight problem at

10 months on the dealer rebuild (band adjustment); they fixed it in a day for $0. Been perfect ever since.

Good luck!

I've driven cars that flat-out didn't want to move early in the morning. I've driven cars that wanted to go where they wanted to go, no matter what I said.

Hell, I drive older cars that look, well, distinguished - as opposed to just older.
