I'll show my age on this one . . ., but there were none better than Robert Mitchem in "Thunder Road". Does anyone remember what he drove?

Well, he was Lucas Doolin in the movie. He started with a 1950 Ford, tore it up real good then moved to a 57 Ford 2 door sedan in Fairlane 500 trim.

The reason why I mentioned Moonrunners in my other post was because of the connection between Thunder Road and Moonrunners. In the movie, Mitchum's little brother is actually played by his son. His son later went on to play the lead role IN Moonrunners.

Ever see the movie Species? The alien actually watches Thunder Road on TV then recreates the scene shortly thereafter.

I knew his son played his brother in Thunder Road, but I missed Moonrunners and Species. With cable and 100's of channels, I'll catch them sooner or later if I'm looking for them. Thanks!

Grandpa's car is Dragula. Some people think the regular car is Dragula, but it's not. I think it's just the Munstermobile.

FYI: In the TV show "Rockford Files", Jim Rockford (James Garner) drove a metallic-tan (gold) 1974 Firebird Esprit 400 and base Firebird models
