Ok, im not one to worry that much....
Had my 2.0 HDI Partner Combi, and noticed that it ran around 70-75 deg's under normal driving conditions.
Now all of a sudden, i notice that its risen to 80-85 under normal driving....
Is there anything that could cause this?
I know its within its limits, but it just seems odd..and will bug me for ages if i dont ask :-)

Well I would have thought that 80 degrees would be more the norm, and 70 to
75 too low. My HDI certainly runs in the 80 - 85 area, up to 90 in traffic.Two possibilitys.
1 Gauge problems2 French electrics !

Can a car temp be too low?
Mine certainly sits around 75 to 80, but goes beyond 90 in a jam.
Mine or his? Mine only goes just past 90, then it never goes any further, and thats with the heater on 0. This is miles from the red on the gauge. I don't have a problem do I?
Tom My 406 1.9TD 1998 has only one fan working and has been the case since it was 2 years old. I have at last been able to fault it and establish it is one faulty fan so I only have cooling on the high speed position (parallel working) that comes in at just over 90 degrees. they should both come in at low speed (series working) below 90 degrees. It has not really caused me any problems as the temprature only rises over 90 when waiting for a long time in heavy traffic on a very hot day. The thermostat on this car opens at
