1996 pontiac sunfire 140Kmi vs 1997 chevy cavalier 98Kmi

I am considering buying one of those two cars.

1996 pontiac sunfire, for 2000 USD has about 140K miles, but outside it looks very clean. What are the common things that replacing at that age of the car?

1997 chevy cavalier for 2100 USD has about 98Kmi and looks similarly clean.

obivously lower mi is better but, is either of these cars worth the money?

what would you expect to pay for such cars?

thanks in advance

sean

Given that you understand that the two cars are equivalents from a GM standpoint, it should be obvious that a newer one with waaaayayyyyyy less miles is worth a LOT more than the $100 difference. If the Cavy is worth $2100 then the SF is worth $800. What is the going rate on similar cars?
