My `82 SC has been sitting in the barn for too long and I suspect that the pistons may have become 'stuck' in the barrels. The symptom is that the starter motor engages, but it just seems to draw excessive current and stalls . I know that this doesn't sound good at all, and I need to get the piston(s) unstuck before I do anything else. I guess that the first thing is to remove the spark plugs and spray oil into the cylinders and let it sit for a while before I try to turn the cranshaft over. Would something like WD40 be ok, or should I use something else?
It may be that the starter motor has failed, but I fear the worst.
