on a 1998 900SE 4 cyl. 2.0 l turbo...110,000 miles
on high turbo boost(just in the red) the engine stutters.....if I back off a hair it's fine....engine rpm doesn't seem to matter......car is still getting great gas mileage(25/32) anybody got any idea??????

Sounds like you are getting excessive boost pressure and activating the pressure safety switch. Either that or the switch is activating too soon. The boost gauge in the dash is not accurate enough to be sure one way or another. Shouldn't be too expensive to fix even if you bring it to a stealer.
