No, probably something like Executive or similar.

Who cares? What does Aero stand for, it doesn't literally fly.

In fact, more to the point, what does the CS stand for?

Aero = Aerodynamic in styling, ever notice that the Aero models have more spoilers and aerodynamic styling?

CS - Compact Sedan?

No, the 'E' in CSE is just higher equipment level, but it depends strongly on MY. There are even CSE without LPT or full turbo. But from MY 1994 all CSE had at least LPT or higher AFAIK.

The 'ECO power' naming started from MY 1994, but there were 9000 with LPT before that. I'm not sure what they were called before MY 1994, hence the CSE TURBO in the registration document. I Think it was called CSE-S in some countries?

The name CSI was not used in the UK AFAIK.

Confusing?

spoilers and aerodynamic styling?

A slightly deeper skirt, not much else that's going to make it more aerodynamic.

Nope, I don't buy either of those. :)

I don't know either, but why are we assuming these letters refer to the English language?

spoilers and aerodynamic styling?

David,

If you don't buy those, what do you spend your money on?

CS = Combi Salon; something like a cross between a Salon and an estate car.

CD = A Corps Diplomatie type of vehicle ;-)

E = Executive version.

Regarding the 9000s

The CS models also had the ecopower engines.

The CSE models had higher standard trim and equipment spec. Probably E for executive.
