93 Legacy L AT 4wd - RPM - MPH

Hello,

I have a 1993 Subaru Legacy L wagon with an automatic transmission and 4wd. When I am driving at 55mph, the engine is running at 3500rpm. The engine and transmission are warmed up, but it seems that the transmission hasn't shifted into fourth gear. Can anyone with a similar Subaru check the rpm at

55 mph and reply.

You are in 3rd gear, the trans is supposed to stay in 3rd until the engine is fully warmed up so make sure you check when it's already hot...do you have an OD lockout button or something? TG
