Snow Build-up in stock alloy rims

Jan 02, 2005 1 Replies

We just had our first snow. Naturally I had to "test" the new Forester. All things pretty good. I had changed out the stock Geolandars for Goodyear TripleTreads (mostly rain around here (vancouver Island, canada). What I did notice is when I got back on the highway I fealt alot of vibration. I thought it was snow pack in the wheel wells but upon inspection found the inner surface of the alloy rims packed with snow, severely through the balance out, much worse on the rears. Anyone else with similar experience?
