Sportswagon 4WD Hater and air conditioner nogo.

Hello to all. Having trouble with an L series car, 1991. In brief, the air conditioner And the heater blower have decided to not work. Tried all the obvious stuff, like fuses and plugs and links, and all seems fine. I had the car ( a relatives) here to replace the rotors and pads - no problem there. But this other problem is very bad news, 'cause I don't have a repair manual and don't know where to look for what might be a common problem.

BTW The heater blower 'was' stuffed, and so I obtained a replacement that will turn when it gets 12 volts. And I figure the heater and the A/C systems are linked, in that the blower probably interlocks with the A/C circuit, like most other cars. But I can't figure where this link is, and how it works.

I also noticed that the vacuum operated recirculate system has a vacuum motor that appears to cycle a lever system that moves the change-over door, but it doesn't go full travel unless the button is held for rather a long any ideas out there. Is this normal design I'm looking at.
