Why the 04/05 Liberty Clutch Pedal feels rough

Sep 17, 2004 0 Replies

The clutch master cylinder on the U.S. Legacy has a hydraulic damper integrated into it. The Australian Liberty has a different master cylinder without the damper. The purpose of the hydraulic damper is to remove vibrations which would otherwise appear in the pedal. These vibrations are noticeable above 3000rpm. Probably saved FHI $1 per car. Bizarre. Shane.
