Just bought it, car has a switch attached to the TBI and guy says the temp sensor is bad. Says turn switch off to start then on when running. It does start, but then dies no matter how the switch is set. Will replacing the temp sensor fix this? Does seem to be a fuel problem. Car has 208K showing, but did run good when he showed me the car. TIA for any advice...

A switch attached to the throttle body? What in god's name were they doing? I'd say the problem is related to whatever hack job was involved there, and whatever problem they were trying to work around with it..
