Sylvania makes the 9007 series in five different types.
Standard, long life, XtraVision, lame 1(Cool Blue), lame 2(SilverStar)
They're all rated for
1,000 +/- 15% lumens low beam
1,350 +/- 15% lumens low beam
12.8v design voltage
and they have different life ratings, from highest to lowest: Long Life Standard XtraVision Cool Blue SilverStar
The regulator is almost always set for 13.5 to 15.0v, so the system doesn't go to 12.8v unless you've got a bunch of accessories going on at a stoplight. Are life and output both rated at 12.8v? If not, what voltage are they rated at?
If the long life lamp had no performance compromise and just a longer life, the standard type would be useless. I am aware that the standard is brighter than long life and XtraVision brighter than standard, but by how much? Sylvania's datasheets make use of "+/- 15% thing" and doesn't make the tested output at standard conditions available.
