What is HP and Torque on this truck?

Good morning,

Pretty sure it does not have the original engine. Would like to know what came standard. Was it the L48? How many horses, how much torque, how does one identify a 350 as a L48 and the year it was built?

1971 Chevrolet K20 3/4 Ton Regular Cab Long Bed Fleetside 4WD 350 4 Speed Manual Transmission

Thanks,

Vic

You need to get the last two, and depending on what engine it is, somtimes three "letters" from the flat boss on the front of the block, just below the passenger side head where the head and block meet. Then you have to look the letters up in Chilton manuals or online. The letters will give you everything you need to know.

You can also us the casting number on the left rear of the block.
