Well, the girlie is trying to convince me to move out there as well... interested in starting a combination lighting/hot rod shop?

(only half kidding, really, DC gets old after a while)

Says Daniel, tongue so far into his cheek it's in the next county.

Son of a f**king b***h!

I *just now* opened up the Jeg's catalog that came in the box with my wheel spacers that just showed up today. There's an AVS on the cover with "BRAND NEW!" in bold letters underneath.

Flipping to the page noted, there's a 500 CFM version that isn't in my old catalog.

I JUST TWO DAYS AGO bought a near-new 500 CFM AFB off fleaBay. It hasn't even shown up yet.

The prices in the catalog for the AFBs are going down, too...

Goddammit.

Oh well, maybe this will help you...

Naw s*it? Cool. Now what I really want is a *large* lottery win. Something around $400 million.

-DS (it worked once...!)

Play your birthday. I'll be happy with 5%.

PS - update: I just pulled the FrankenCarb off the car today and set the floats 1/16" lower, also removed the "screen" type inline filter and put in a Wix pleated paper deal. I'm not sure which was the problem but it runs like a real car now. So I've apparently fixed a carb for my friend and I hope that when my new one shows up it will continue to run well...

That'll be this coming Friday. What kind of lottery exists in DC/VA/MD, where I am marooned^h^h^h^h^h^h^h^hvisiting until the 29th?

Well, there's always the Powerball in DC... that's that multi-state thing...

where you gonna be? I have a couple job sites in Alexandria/Arlington if you wanna grab lunch sometime... not going to be able to show off any machinery though, I drive too much on weekdays to consider taking the '55 - even though IT'S A FULLY FUNCTIONAL, DRIVEABLE CAR!!!!! (this is a very momentous accomplishment, and I'm kinda proud of myself at the moment.)
