I used to work for Hamilton Standard.

They came to me one night and said "Get 8 of these, and 4 spares, as FAST AS YOU CAN! Then give them to inspection, we need to ship them tonight."...

Hmmm..standard was 58 minutes each. Work day was 8 hours...however, the 'standard' was 58 minutes, but in reality took 25 minutes to set up and test. I had the 12 before supper.

They were the actuators that opened the ducting in the wings diverting some of the heat from the engines to warm and pressurize the passenger compartment.

The planes on the Tarmac were two speical order 747's, waiting for delivery for their new owner. It was 1989.
