'92 Pickup differential gears

I recently had a shop do a differential rebuild on my '92 pickup (22RE,4 cyl,5 spd). It may have just been a bearing that had gone bad, but they convinced me that while it was apart that it would be best to put in new pinion and ring gears. I had them save all the old parts and now wonder if i might be able to sell the gears if they're still in good condition. The truck only had 90k miles on it. Can anyone tell me what to look for in the gears that would tell me if they're worn or not, and also what the fair market value might be if they are still in god condition. Many Thanks Dave

If the purchaser doesn't have them installed exactly as they were before in your truck then they can expect them to howl. So I doubt anyone would bother. I wouldn't unless it was for a play car only. And then I would probably want higher than stock gear ratios. I'm curious why you needed a rebuild. What symptoms did you have? 90k should be nothing even with original fluid unless you got some water in there.
