The covered one is closed and we cannot get it open all of a sudden. Does anyone know how to fix this? How to remove the parts that will give us access to fixing the closing mechanism?

2001 Volvo S80 has two drink holders between the front seats - one that pops open (nearest the shifter), the other is covered (nearest the rear seat).
