Brake job

My 2001 ZX3 needs new brake pads. I've worked on a few cars in my time and I think I can do this pretty easy. Anyone have any ideas on a book to help me
out?

Just pick up a Chiltons or Haynes from AutoZone. Or you can probably get all you need by Googling it. jor

I am wondering how the pads could be worn at that mileage, much less the rotors. In order to require a rotor replacement, you must have been running metal on metal or gotten them really hot or something. That is WAY TOO MUCH to pay for a brake job. My son did one for his brother a few months ago on a Camry. The Camry has drums on the back and discs on the front. He turned the drums and rotors, replaced the shoes and pads and bled the system. The parts were 50 bucks or so and turning the drums and rotors was another 20 or so. I wouldn't return to that shop if I were you. jor
