Excuse my ignorance here but rather than try adjusting the light intensity of an LED (which is something it is not designed to do), why not just double the number of LEDs in a cluster and use half for tail lights and then all for brake lights. It would be simpler and safer than driving with LEDs at low brightness. Hey! I'll patent the idea! Oh damn! I've let everybody in on the secret now.... oh well, there goes my money making plan.....

There are some very wise reasons *why* there are two different circuits in the tail light/brake light system. Can you quess why?

Secondly choosing LED's of different wattages is wiser than force feeding more to the poor little buggers. Sure you can run them at lower power but why? And fancy controller is un-needed when a simple inexpensive relay and ballast system will work. (Oh wait someone already said that!)

Ever heard of a dual LED? Hmmmm.
