I tried to write the VIN best I could read off the windshield pillar holding a flashlight. It was rather dark in the dealer lot.

I have experience in my past with TRIUMPH automobiles and Lucas Electrical parts were a big problem.

First off, I am not an auto mechanic or an expert on Jaguar. I did find out for you what year, make etc you wanted in your other posts. I decided to change my user name from ME to my real name if you wanted to email me direct. I can only base my experience on my owning a 1988 Jaguar XJ6.

1. I do not think you can beat the car in appearance or performance.
2. In 1988 Jaguar did have some problems, self levelling system for sure and also some of the sensors that indicate what bulb is burnt out. These can be bypassed if wanted since the replacement cost is pretty high. As for the self levelling system in the 1988 XJ6 a retro-fit kit was made and works very well.
3. The body of my car is rusting, so take a good look at the one you are looking at.
4. The price seems reasonable. The general pubic will think how can you afford such a car because most do not know what you can purchase them for. They think you have to spend ,000 - , 000 or so just to get one. You will get tons of positive comments from people over this car.

Hope this helps in your decision. I have owned my Jaguar for over 12 years.
