The drivers side rear hood hinge on my 1958 Golden Hawk came loose and creased the hood in the corner. Is there a better way to attach the hood hinge to the cowl? I currently have a nut and lock washer on it.
The "original" mounting bolts used large combination internal/external star-washers(2/per bolt). These kept the hinge from sliding, and the bolts tight. I just had a set plated- and I'll see if I can get a pic after lunch....
