Found ECM commanding full egr at throttle openings just off idle-normal condition. Vacuum leak at rear of intake manifold may be contributing to condition. Recommend replace intake manifold gasket set. Egr diaphragm leaking vacuum recommend replace egr valve. S*IT! jim

Hence my suggestion early on to procure a vacuum gauge and measure the engine vacuum @ idle.

Intake manifold & new EGR shouldn't be too hard though. Just a matter of, "time".
