Sounds like the ignition control module. Runs about $35, and is located near the front of the engine on the left side. Is very easy to change, 2 screws and a wire connector. You can take it off, and any auto parts shop can test it free for you. When these start going bad, its like you lose fuel. When it starts getting worse, it will stop the vehicle completely. When you let it set for awhile, it will start again, but with less power. Hope this helps.
