starting problem

i have a 93 gmc sierra Z71 4x4 5.7L pickup, when i start it for the first time of the day, it fires up for about 5 seconds then quits, i then turn the key off ,then back to the postion just before the starter kicks in so i can hear the fuel pump start pumping with pressure, then continue turn the key to initiate the starter.

the same thing happens, i redue the steps again and once it starts i'll race the engine and alls fine.

today during the day it quit at a red light, but started right away, i replaced the fuel pump a few years ago with a NAPA fuel pump.

i'm thinking its mt fuel injectors, could this be the problem and could there be any othere problem areas?

my truck has EFI electronis feul injection , two injectors just above the thottle body.

napa wants $158 each, i can only imagine what GM wants, and autozone want $58 each. i usually go with GM or napa. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

Cold start mixture is basically set by ECTS and MAP sensors. You might check these before you start replacing injectors.
