2003 A4 3L performance upgrades

John, In a normally aspirated car, gains can be had with IM and EM port and polishing, cat-back exhausts, different profile camshafts, adding a supercharger. "Chip Tuning", per se, will not gain so much in the way that it does for a turbocharged engine. Not to be a "mod-cop", but there are warranty issues to consider with most performance upgrades in a new car - weigh the potential costs with the benefits before commiting your wallet. 1987 Audi 5kTQ - qlcc chip/charlie spring installed (+60? hp), sport interior and "Audifans" sticker add an extra 5 horsepower - no dyno to back that up, though. 1980 Audi 5k - had a K&N...that's now protecting my shelf from dust. 1962 and '64 Auto Union DKW Junior deLuxes - 34 whopping, (bias ply) tire smoking (mostly hidden by exhaust) horsepower 2-strokes (SPAM Blocker NOTE: Remove SHOES to reply)
