How to remove 3 series headlamp cover glass?

This question was asked back in 1999 but no one ever answered it - now I have the same problem. How do I get the headlight out? It's most certainly not intuitive.

OK - sorted. A truly cretinous design.

The indicator runs onto the side of the headlight unit on sliders. You need to reach down from above and press the white saw-toothed tang towards the outside of the car. The indicator unit - with some persuasion, slides out.

The securing screws (four, with 8mm hex heads) screw into the adjusters. Two are clearly visible on top screwing horizontally into the top adjusters. The other two point downwards at the rear corners of the light unit - you have to get the centre top radiator cover off to see the inner one. The headlight then comes out if slightly tilited toward the outside of the car.

The cretinous bit is having the fixing screws go into the adjusters. It's next to impossible to move the screws without disturbing the adjusters.
