I just bought a '94 540i and then became aware of the issues with Nikasil in the M60 engine. I know it's possible to check the serial numbers to see if my engine uses Nikasil or Alusil, and I have the numbers.
Question: where are the numbers located on the block and how do I get to them? Thanks.
