This may just be a warning saying you were driving too fast. my 87 will input a error code if i set the cruse over 85 mph. if you can figure out how to clear the code you can find out for certon.

You should have a button next to the odometer that will switch the fule and speedometer. should be on the left side. the one on the right side is(should) be the trip button. but they look alike.
