So I am thinking of buying a '70 1/2 split bumper Camaro Z28 RS. It is in fair condition with matching numbers on the engine and body. Price is between $2000-2500. Only thing different and not original is the high rise manifold and the edelbrock carb.. So do you folks think that is reasonable for one of these? Seemed straight and no rust either.

Price seems very low to me, those cars are hard to find. Try posting this question on

you'll get some good info from people who know a lot more about cars than I do--
Good luck, Terry M.
If it can be documented that it is in fact a 70 1/2 Z28/RS then start running right now and grab it up. Worth far more than the asking price and most likely quite a deal even if it is a clone.

If it's a true Z28 RS and straight/rust free, seems real underpriced.
Sounds like either a great opportunity or one of those 'if it sounds too good to be true...' deals. Be careful, and good luck. Let us know what you decide!
