1987 chevy S-10 4x4 need some ideas

i have a s10 that ran good the other day till i was having to pull the wire up to give it good connection on starting it,so i found out the main power wire was loose on the starter.so i went to tighten it down, then i tightened it to tight and snap the bolt on the silinoid.so i bought a new starter from a junk yard that turns it over and starts but then dies right away.does any body know what culd be the problem,if so please let me know.

Sounds like you missed a wire connection.

Check the connection at the oil pressure sending unit. You might have knocked it off while changing the starter, and some vehicles won't run long without them.
