My 1990 Chevrolet Suburban with 167,000 miles on the counter is showing some tranny problems: First of all, the problems seemto be intermitttent. One day everything runs normal, the other day, the shifting takes place MUCH too late (@ 25-30mph instead @ 15mph from 1 to 2). While this happens, it seems to go over in the next gear with a pretty rough thud. From 2 to 3 is then even worse (instead @ 30mph, it is now @ 40-45mph). I am leaving the overdrive out of the discussion (happens only at 45mph or above)
Anybody having the same (intermittent) problems? Truck seems to run fine. Tranny does not seem tired (sluggish). Truck reacts just fine, just gear shifting takesplace too late.
