1991 chevy s10 transmission

will a transmission for a 91 s10 2.5L. 5 speed. match up to a 2.8L. 5 speed both are manuel???

I dont believe so, the 2.8 had an odd ball bolt pattern for the bell housing, shared with the later 3.1.
