2005 Chevy C2500 Crew cab turn signall lamp question (old body style)

I am having problems with my turn signals on my truck 2000 Chevy C2500 Crew Cab old body style. The turn signal works fine on both the right and the left with the headlights off. The hazards also work okay with headlights off. I turn the headlights on and the left side works okay but the right will not blink. If you look at the dash lights you see them dimming very lightly as if they are blinking.

Here is what I tried: Changed bulbs in front and rear (all the bulbs including reverse light) Changed rear socket bus bar that plugs into wiring harness. Changed flasher unit. Traced wires back to the cab and can not find a short or break in the wire. All grounds are connected and have disconnected and reconnected them to insure clean and good contact.

The only thing left is the signal switch but it works during the day and the headlamps are independent switch so I have not looked at it very hard.
