A Temperature Gauge Issue

Hi Folx, The temperature gauge has stopped working in my 91 S10, 2.8 V6, 5sp, A/C, SWB. All other dash functions work fine. I replaced the sensor on the thermostat housing and then the one on the drivers side / front of the block. Still doesn't work. What else should I check/replace? Thanks.

Don,

Check the connections on the back of the dash where the gauge is seated... not the gauge contacts, but behind the plastic part of the dash where the gauge contacts go through. I had an '83 S-10 that the temp gauge would slowly sweep from cold to hot and back to cold again. The engine never overheated, and I replaced the temp sending unit too, only to find out that S-10's are famous for having bad connections on the back of the dash... at least mine did... it all comes apart pretty easy.
