Any size tapered roller bearing, like has been used in front hubs of rear wheel drive vehicles. If you stick one on your finger and spin the cage/rollers with compressed air, it makes a very distinctive sound. It is also very dangerous to do this. Don't do it.

Not sure about the S-10 ? But I just changed the Brakes and Rotors on my
95 Z-71 and it took about 10 minutes per side. I greased everything I could see. It cost me I believe about $17 per rotor with a lifetime gaurantee and the pads were around $20 so it cost me roughly $54 and 20 minutes of work. everything went smoothly..most importantly the truck stops and don't do he grind. I didn't have my Trailer brakes hooked up at the time and they just got destroyed in a matter of 3 weeks..... Have a Great One !
$17/rotor? WHERE?!?! I did a '96 Full Size Z71 not too long ago. Rotors were $60/ea, $45 with a discount.

Autozone is about 1/4 mile from Pep Boys.. Pep Boys discounted price was $45 to me, down from $60. I wonder if all Autozones honor that price.. Because rotors are a steal at $17.

If AZ sells 'em for $17, why would you want to pay $45 for 'em?
Besides that, AZ's price match policy is: Like item In stock Same Warranty not a 'special discounted' price - ie the autozoner you talk to and ask to pricematch will ask where they're matching and call to check for the above qualifiers and price. If that $45 was special for you only, then it won't fly...

The $45 Pep Boy price was because it was on a business account.. So if were just talking straight retail here, $17 vs. $60 is very significant. I'll call Autozone next time.

Would there be a quality issue with $17 rotors? Surely there's a difference between these and an OEM rotor. Make sure they aren't made in India, heh. B
