overheating problem

Aug 10, 2004 2 Replies

I have a 95 s-10 v-6 vortec engine and having overheating problems. I had the radiator core cleaned and flushed, two new thermostats, and had the problem went away for a while. Now, when I turn on the engine, the needle races to the red zone. I stopped the truck, then about 2 minutes later I turn it back on and the needle goes back to normal. Could my water guage be playing tricks on me? I don't hear the water boiling. Does anyone know whats going on?

Thanks

Remove, clean, and replace the radiator cap. Make sure it has a good seal.
