Anyone know for sure if there are two different computers (engine control) used on 3.0 engines in 1998, and if they are interchangeable?
On a Monitor 4000 there are two options - one is a specified smec number, and the other is "all other smecs"
On theAutoXray, there is only one option, and it cannot data-stream the computer on my 88 New Yorker. If there is a different version I can get from the scrappies and install (plug for plug) I'd be happy to change it over. (just need part number and specific application) It appears the one on my car is Mitsubishi supplied, and from what Auto Exray says, there must be an american equivalent.
