New 2004 Grand Caravan and need recommendations on an aftermarket transmission cooler

My wife has a spanking new 2004 Caravan with a 3.8L engine. I'm interested in installing an aftermarket transmission cooler and would appreciate recommendations on a brand and any other useful information on how to improve the operation and longevity of my wife's new toy. (She posted a note on the dash "Does Not Play Well With Others" want to guess who 'others' might be ?)

Do you live in a mountainous area or doing a lot of towing?

| You may already have one. One thing you need to watch is overcooling too in | the winter. | Larry

Does not seem to be any auxiliary cooling on the puppy. I doubt there will be much overcooling as we are mostly in the south (I40 is as far north as we go in the winter with a lot of I10 driving in West Texas during the summer.)

We do considerable foot hills driving in Tennessee and WNC mostly along I40. There will be a lot of summer driving along I10 in West Texas. There will be some trailer towing but mostly limited to a light weight pop up. We have a RAM 1500 for the heavy loads.

My concern is that in the past our vehicles with aux. cooling lasted considerably longer then those without. Basically I'm going to install an aux. cooler, the question is which one is best for this application and how should it be configured?

There is no such thing as "overcooling" the transmission fluid in the real world -- you'd have to run a liquid-Nitrogen-to-trans-fluid heat exchanger to "overcool" the fluid.
