I saw one of the old Omni FWD pickups in the local trader paper recently and that brings up an interesting idea.
The first couple of years of Omni-Horizon production they used VW engines and transaxles. Is the chassis mounting on the later ones which use Mopar drivetrains the same? I'm thinking it would be neat to backfit one of these little guys with a modern VW TDi engine and transaxle. Is that a doable thing?
