Hood Repairers?

The plastic rear quarter light on my double duck hood on my 1970 AH Sprite IV has split. Does anyone know of a reputable restorer that could insert a new plastic panel - I am sure I have previously seen an advert in the MG Owners Mag, but it is not in recent editions.

Regards

Neil

There are specialists about, we have one in Cheltenham that could do that. I would recommend you assess the overall condition though as just replacing one window is NOT cheap. May be more cost effective to replace the hood.

As a quick bodge fix on one of mine, I used silicone sealant either side of the split. That seemed to keep it together and watertight.

A friend of mine had this done on his beach buggy for a cost of £25. I'll find out where but it was in the south....................

PLEASE don't keep posting upside down. It would help to trim the quote to context too if you want to get the best out of usenet.

Hi Neil, The phone number as promised. The man's name is Dave and his phone number is 01268 726626. He is in Wickford. If he ask where you got the number from tell him Mike and at Rayleigh with the MG and classic caravan . I would only recommend people who do a good job. I am getting him to do my classic caravan soon. Pat.
