This coming weekend, Redhill Steam Fair. Just opposite Redhill Aerodrome (Surrey). Usual mixture of traction and stationary engines, assorted interesting cars, fairground - including an utterly terrifying steam roundabout - arts and crafts stalls, all that good stuff. Tends to end the day rather well when all the traction engines fire up and appear over the crest of a ridge - I'm not a steam enthusiast but it's quite a sight.
For some reason this event is never publicised - I found it a few years ago quite by chance and I only live five miles away. Hence this post - worth a visit if you are in the area.
My plans not finalised as I'm relying on kindly friends, but I hope to be there in a Peterbilt - about as far away from a classic UK car as you can get, but it's fun!
