I'm doing some work on an old 1969 MGB GT for a friend of mine and quite possibly buying it.
Strange thing is, I was under t'bonnet earlier on and noticed that it's got a Swansea issue SABTVRO chassis number.
Now, I have had a problem with these in the past, having had one forced on me, very nearly along with a Q registration, on a Delta Integrale.
The MGB, on the other hand, has what must be an age related "G" registration.
My friend who owns it says that on the logbook it has "Registered 16/3/2000 (DECL'D MANUF 1969)"
I suspect I'll be haggling him down somewhat, but anyone got any clues how this might have happened?
Only things I can think of a stolen recovered / reshelled / imported from somewhere obscure.
